This is a very good movie. I have laughed out loud and cried real tears, and that doesn't happen often! There are elements in the movie like in Shaolin Soccer, and it has some of Gremlins. Not everything that happens is possible (like in Shaolin Soccer), but that doesn't disturb the slightest, on the contrary, it's very funny. The young boy is a very good actor; amazingly so (he appears to be at most 10 years old). If anything is wrong with movie then it's that it's too short. I wish it was twice as long! I can highly recommend to watch this with children, but don't let them watch alone, as it contains a very sad scene that might need some hugging to get through.

这位老外说这电影超好看，都笑出眼泪来了，跟少林足球的风格是一脉相承的，很适合小孩子观看，但对孩子来说结尾比较悲。说唯一的缺点是片子太短了。

Goodness me, what a fantastic movie. Caught the world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and the entire theater laughed until they cried. Amazingly directed, HILARIOUSLY funny, it blends a 1930s gangster stylishness into a Hong Kong kung fu movie to astonishing results. Who would've thought you could top Shaolin Soccer? Not me, until I saw this movie. Stephen Chow pulled it off. Chow's comedic timing gets better and better with every movie he makes, and while his films are depending more and more on CGI these days, and makes this movie much more a fantasy kung fu film than a traditional one, it hardly detracts from the enjoyable experience. Make it your mission to see this film - it will be one of the most entertaining you ever see. I can't remember the last film I enjoyed myself in more. My eyes still hurt from wiping away tears of laughter. Seriously.

Wow, I was really surprised by this movie. It is totally unique, I've never seen anything else like it. There is a very charming love story, and the effects are really cool. The idea of combining kung fu with soccer is very original.... even though it's so bizarre, you'll find yourself asking why nobody has done anything like this before. I laughed constantly throughout this movie and went out and bought it a few days after I first saw it.

I would recommend it to everyone I know. This is the best Asian comedy since the heyday of Jackie Chan and "Fighting Benny"! Go see it, buy it, whatever, just make sure you do see this film.

大家注意票数，每个都不低，这绝不是几个中国影迷到IMDB上打出来的分数，这个票数说明了周在美国是被广泛的接受了的。

这个观众显然没看过多少周星驰的电影，所以有些大惊小怪：电影非常惊喜，非常独特，穿插着动人的爱情故事，特效超酷。功夫足球的点子绝对原创，为啥以前从来没人想过要拍一部这样的电影呢！这是自成龙和"Fighting Benny"（电影？人名？不清楚）以来最好的亚洲电影。绝对要看。

If you like asian humor, you'll love this one. Me and my friends had a good laugh watching the situation comic in this movie. If you have a 12 year old sense of humor like us you'll be rolling on the floor. Much better than the tepid, often uninspired US comedies.

这是史蒂芬周国际化之前的一部代表作，不依靠特效的一部电影也得到了老外们的肯定。这位哥们儿说他跟几个朋友看这电影笑的前仰后合，如果喜欢亚洲幽默一定会喜欢这片的。显然他还只是把这电影当普通搞笑片来看的。他没看到电影里的内涵，感人爱情和龙套的辛酸。

You should be able to find this in any good Asian movie rental place in your city. You don't have to worry about any cultural differences - much of the humor is of the international slapstick variety, and even some of the cultural references (like Shaolin kung fu) will be understandable. Now there are some kinds of humor that even had me (who's seen much more of Asian cinema than the average humor) mystified, but there was still a wacky edge to them that made them amusing, even if I didn't know exactly what they were referring to.

The movie is a non-stop barrage of laughs. It does get exhausting at times, and the movie starts to get really sloppy towards the end (the final scene felt very unfinished), but you'll still find much more to enjoy here than in your average American comedy. Even if you end up hating it, you won't be able to deny that you've seen NOTHING like this before!

无需担心文化差异会对理解影片产生影响，很多笑料都是国际通用的。即使周的《少林足球》《功夫》这样涉及文化的喜剧也是能看明白的。电影笑料从头到尾一刻不停，比一般的美国喜剧片好笑多了，你绝对找不到另外一部跟它类似的电影。
